introduction

Hello! I’m Nick, and I consider myself an amateur photographer. Inspired by dramatic landscapes seen throughout my travels across the UK and Europe.

My first introduction to photography was helping out in my dad’s camera shop during my teens. Back then it was old school developing film in the dark room for customers.

However, it had taken until 2013 before I actually got my first DLSR. Since then I have been experimenting with various genres and realised that I like a bit of everything. I love visiting new places and go with the flow as to what to shoot and what I feel is fitting with the mood of that location.

Although I’ve played with most genres if I had to pick a favourite then it would be Black & White. The mood you can create by draining the colour really suits some images.

Landscape and Travel Fine Art Prints

Photography is very subjective. Still haven’t found my niche yet. Something I may never find it. But what I do know is that I love photography and I love trying new techniques.

As with most photographers, I try and ‘scout’ an area of interest. Including looking at images on the internet to get an idea of what opportunities are there from a photography perspective. Then, where possible, try to find a unique angle to capture the location from a different viewpoint.

I only sell landscape fine art prints using quality paper. The one I use predominantly is Pearl 290. With a slightly stippled texture it produces great detail with natural colours. Feel free to have a look at my portfolio or browse my shop.

Alternatively, if you would like me to capture a location that is personal to you then please get in touch. Just send me a message via the contact me button and I will do my best to help.

LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE!

I offer 1-1 tuition or small group workshops primarily around the North-East of England. If you are struggling to understand how to use your camera and take better pictures then this is for you.

Maybe you have a location in mind where you want to capture the scene and hang it on your wall? Or just want a camera buddy to accompany you and teach along the way. Either way the service I offer is personalised to your needs so feel free to get in touch here.
